Prime Minister Ali Mujawar inaugurated on Sunday the operational work of all components of the 2n priority for the absorption of Yemeni labor in the local and GCC labor markets.
At the inauguration ceremony, Mujawar confirmed that the 2nd priority of the government's priorities has been given special attention by the State and the government because it is related to the development of human resources as a general goal.He pointed out that this inauguration coincides with the graduation of more than one thousand trainees obtaining international certificates from the Yemeni labor training program- the first phase- which is held under the slogan "work program effectively and safely in construction work" and supervised by the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational training.Mujawar congratulated the graduates and welcomed them to the labor market to contribute to build their homeland. He valued the fruitful partnership between each of the Community College in the capital Sana'a and the Qatari Silatech Foundation and Pearson International, especially the generous support provided by Silatech Foundation through this program and its eagerness to expand it to include five other provinces. This program also included training of 13 trainers from the teaching staff of the Community College, Mujawar pointed out. He noted that this is another qualitative achievement of transferring knowledge and experiences, hoping that this would provide strong base for implementation of similar programs by Yemeni qualified cadres during the coming period. The premier stressed the need to go ahead in this partnership to its positive end, and urged the concerned ministries and private sector to cooperate with the Qatari Foundation to form a common vision on implementation of training programs relating to the second priority. He called to make the best use of the studies carried out by Mckenzie Gobal Company, specifically what respect to identifying the requirements of jobs and professions needed by the GCC countries, conducting Yemeni labor force survey and determining the training needs, which would be implemented this year and the next year.As it believes in the importance of implementation of its second priority and the other ten priorities, the government has worked to integrate the programs related to these priorities in the forth five-year plan for socioeconomic development 2011-2015, Mujawar said. All arrangements have been prepared to ensure the achievement of the programs included in the ten priorities within the first two years of the fourth five-year plan, he added.Mujawar pointed that celebrating the launch of this program comes within the existing partnership between Yemen and the GCC countries.Concluding his speech, the premier emphasized the keenness to achieve the developmental goal of this program, which is represented in opening positive horizons before unemployed youth and overcoming all forms of negative phenomena that result from unemployment and poverty, in forefront of which are extremism and terrorism.
