http://www.english.hadhramaut.info Workshop on care of children from armed conflicts in Saada [The Source: SAADA/hadhramaut.info/sabanews.net - 04/02/2011] A special workshop to specifically protect children from trafficking and armed conflicts was organized on Friday in Saada province, north of Yemen. The workshop was supported by the European Union, in which 25 local officials in Saada discussed working papers on the importance of protecting children from the risk of smuggling and armed conflicts as well as the consequent social and psychological problems affecting children in future.In the opening of the workshop, Saada governor Taha Hajer pointed out to the importance of organizing such activities to get rid of the negative psychological effects of conflicts.He stressed the need for a concerted official and popular level to improve the educational, healthy sides and attention to childhood, expressing the readiness of the local authority of Saada to provide all possibilities to offer services to "this important sector of society".
