http://www.english.hadhramaut.info Yemen, FAO sign financing agreement of $432,000 [The Source: SANA'A/hadharamaut.info/sabanews.net - 18/01/2011] Yemen and Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) signed here on Tuesday an agreement to finance the Integrated Natural Resources Management project in Wadi Tanf of Ibb governorate worth $432,000. The project is to be implemented during the period from January 2011 to December 2012. It is intended to enhance the technical and structural aspects in watershed management at the Ministry as well as protecting Wadi Tanf and the adjoining agricultural lands. It also aims to spreading awareness of hazards of the watershed degradation in addition to helping local communities and decision-makers, planners, donors and non-government organizations to adopt the procedures and integrated measures in this regard. The agreement signed by the Undersecretary of Agriculture and Irrigation Ministry for Irrigation and Land reclamation Sector Ahmed al-Ashlah and FAO representative in Yemen Fuad al-Domi.
