The two-year project will be implemented in cooperation with local governments and the offices of the ministries of Endowments and Guidance and Youth and Sports in the target areas.It will focus on youth communities and sports and cultural clubs, the project coordinator Ala'a Hassan said.The objective is to reach the youth and to raise awareness about good citizenship through educational, sports and entertainment tools that could help gain self-confidence, improve teamwork skills and raise political, social and economic awareness among the youth, said Hassan.In addition, the project aims to consolidate the roles of moderate religions figures in developing the abilities of the youth through engaging them in youth, sports and entertainment programmes that strengthen their sense of national responsibility and improve their skills to enable them to contribute to serving the national economy, he said."It will also provide youth clubs in various governorates with necessary equipment and will work to establish general and private partnerships, called the youth activation committee to support the project activities".A network of 150 participating youth will be formed through which the youth will conduct analyses on their communities, he added.The project will start in Aden, Abyan, Marib, Sana'a and Amran with sports, entertainment and cultural activities involving social and religions figures aimed at the people aged between 14 to 35 years old..
