http://www.english.hadhramaut.info Omaiers honors winners of World Water Day 2010 Competition [The Source: TARIM/hadharamaut.info - 31/12/2010] Under the auspices of the Hadhramout Undersecretary for Wadi and Sahraa  Affairs omaier Mbarak Omaier,  General Authority for water resources in Hadhramout  honored the winners of World Water Day. The function started with verses from the Holy Quran followed by a speech given by  Mohamed Awad Hadi, Tarim Local Council Secretary General. He pointed  He pointed to the importance of this celebration and honored those students participatedin the competition.  The ceremony was held Yesterday in Al-tafawug  Hall in Tarim. The world water day  coincide with the celebrations of our country, Tarim, capital of Islamic culture in 2010. The competitions was organized by Water Authority and was took place from 10 February until 10 March of this year under the slogan (clean water and healthy world). Thecompetition was  in the area (poetry, painting, sculpture, and Educational articles) for students from Wadi and Desert schools. in this. At the end of the ceremony a number of entities and personalities were honoured with appreciation certificates for their contribution  that made the function a success. Also honoured with certificates and cash prizes  are the competition winners of this event . It is worth mentioning that  the number of participants took part in  the competition  are (200) students from (32) Basic and Secondary school , They presented (222) work in areas of  (poetry, painting, sculpture, and scientific articles)..  .
