http://www.english.hadhramaut.info Minister inspects electricity station in Sayoun [The Source: www.hadhramaut.info - 24/8/2008] The Minister of Electricity and Energy Engineer Awad Saad Socotrai urged on the need to keep the ongoing follow-up to  provide spare parts for the fifth unit of  electrical power station in Khalif and Rayan in Hadhramaut governorate  to prepare it to start work during the summer in 2009. His excellency also said :"  the operation of the two stations will enhance the governorate power supply  and meet the growing needs for energy". praising the efforts of staff  for maintaining the readiness of generators, thus contributing to the stability of electricity supply in the province. He was also briefed the on the current preparations to meet the growing demand for electricity during the holy month of Ramadan, as well as the maintenance efforts  to ensure preparedness and continuity of electric power for the directorates of Hadramout coast.
