http://www.english.hadhramaut.info Two training courses on pneumococcal vaccine start in Mukalla [The Source: MUKALA/hadhrmaut.info - 19/12/2010] Training coursse  in the field of counseling and voluntary testing for HIV, started  today in Mukalla.   It is organized by the national program to combat AIDS and sexually transmitted diseases and wiith support the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.  The course is being attended by twenety participants and will last for six days and it is on pneumococcal vaccine start in Mukalla in the field of voluntary counseling, testing and  training of  health workers.staff. At the opening ceremony, General Director - Office of Public Health and Population coast of Hadramout Dr. Al-abd  Rubeyah Ba-mousa stressed on  the importance of these courses in preparation for the start of the introduction of the new vaccine against pneumococcal.   Within the great successes achieved by Yemen at the national level and regional  on the past  vaccination campaigns.  Confirming  that the course will cover intense lectures  about the nature of the disease, its symptoms, ways to prevent it and the technical skills of health workers in the use of this vaccine. so as  to prevent diseases that infect the respiratory tract, including pneumonia, sinus infections, meningitis and arthritis, bone and middle ear infections and blood poisoning.
