http://www.english.hadhramaut.info Al-Wahda sports club bomber sentenced to death [The Source: ADEN,/hadhramaut.info/sabanews.net - 11/12/2010] The Specialized Criminal Court in Aden province sentenced on Saturday Fares Abdullah Saleh to death for bombings that killed four citizens and injured others at of al-Wahda sports club in Sheikh Othman district. At the hearing presided by Judge Mohamed al-Abyad, the court sentenced the second defendant in the case Raied Abdullah Saleh to five years in prison, while the third ,fourth and fifth defendants, Ali Abdullah Saleh, Hazem Yahya Saleh and Mukhtar Mohsen Ahmed, were acquitted. The court also decided the confiscation of seizures relating to the case.On October 27, the court started the trial of the first defendant, aged 25. The indictment pointed out that the first accused detonated two TNT explosives by a remote control inside the al-Wahda club and at its gate, in addition to initiating the bombing of al-Hashemi station for petroleum derivatives and possession of a firearm without a license.The rest of defendants were convicted on charges of covering up the first accused by hiding him in a hotel as well as hiding the bombing devices.
