General Aviation Chairman returns home

Yemen has submitted a request to the Arab Aviation Authority to find a mechanism to deal with Arab states with each other as well as with international blocs about events relating to aviation security and shipping in order to avoid erroneous judgments as happened recently with Yemen in the case of suspicious packages.
Upon his return to Sana'a after participating in the Executive Board's meetings of the Arab Civil Aviation which was held in Rabat on 1-3 December, the Chairman of the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology, Hamid Faraj, said that the meetings had recommended the Arab Authority for Civil Aviation to prepare a working paper containing a mechanism of dealing with such events. The working paper will be presented and discussed during the next meeting of the Executive Board as well as the speed of addressing the Arab States which stopped the shipment from Yemen to send their security teams to Yemen to make sure its security measures.During the meetings, the Yemeni official discussed the latest developments that resulted from the discovery of suspicious parcels and hasty actions taken against Yemen by some countries.The participants in the meetings also discussed a number of reports related to committees of specialized technical sub-committees of the Committee on air transport and air navigation, safety and aviation security and environment committee and adoption of its activities for the coming period.
