Japanese future supportive trends for Yemen discussed

Yemen and Japan discussed in here on Monday aspects of the Japanese future supportive trends in sectors of water, education and health.
During their meeting, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul-Karim al-Arhabi and Director General of the Middle Eastern and African Affairs Bureau at the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Shigeo Matsutomi talked about ways of enhancing Yemen efforts aiming at achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) by 2015 in such sectors.The two sides also reviewed issues related to the Yemeni-Japanese mutual cooperation as well as means of promoting them to serve the joint interests.The arrangements for holding the upcoming ministerial meeting for Yemen Friends' Group in Saudi Arabia in January, 2011 were also reviewed in the meeting.Al-Arhabi accented the appreciation of Yemeni government for the Japanese initiative to raise the development assistance volume for Yemen in the past two years.In return, the Japanese official affirmed his country's keenness to continue offering the development support, noting to the .
