The grant will be utilized to a project for Constructing Aras Health Unit in Yareem District, Ibb governorate and a project for Improving Water Supply System in al-Mouza' district, Taiz governorate, according to a press release issued by the Japanese embassy.The grant of Aras Health Unit will benefit 8,000 people in Yareem district by funding the construction of a health unit and providing medical equipments.The other grant aims to improve the access to water by constructing a water supply system in al-Mouza' district, where around 800 people will avail from the project.The projects' contracts were signed by Japanese ambassador to Yemen Mitsunori Namba and Head of Fatimah Al-Zahra Organization in Arasa area, Ibb governorate Shadia al-Arasi and Principal of Al-Mouza' Agricultural Cooperative Association in Taiz governorate Mohammed al-Salahi.The two grants has come under Japan's grant assistance scheme called "Grant Assistance for Grass-roots Human Security Projects", which aims at supporting small-scale community-based projects in basic human needs fields, such as primary health care, basic education and water in developing countries.
