Monday to intensify patrols and increase security checkpoints in the capital
Sana'a in order to arrest wanted suspects and cars.
It also urged the security forces to
stay on heightened alert to face possible criminal acts and thwart any attempts
to disturb the security. The Central Security, Police Rescue,
Criminal Investigative Department and Counterterrorism Unit should assume their
responsibility in this regard and play an effective role in arresting suspects
and dangerous criminals, it said.Police at checkpoints must precisely
check cars and IDs, the ministry urged, a day after circulating the pictures
and names of eight al Qaeda suspects wanted on charges of harming the national
and public security.
