http://www.english.hadhramaut.info Yemen to partake in 49th annual session of AALCO [The Source: SANA'A/ hadhramaut.info/sabanews.net - 06/08/2010] Minister of Legal Affairs Rashad al-Rasas headed for Tanzania on Friday, heading Yemen's delegation to partake in the 49th annual session of the Asian-African Legal Consultative Organization (AALCO).

Al-Rasas told Saba that the session would discuss a number of issues, most notably the issue of deportation of Palestinians from their lands and other Israeli practices, including mass migration and settlement of Jews in all occupied territories, which constitute a violation of the international law, particularly the Fourth Geneva Convention in 1949.The AALCO's session would discuss the World Trade Organization (WTO) as a framework agreement and a code of conduct for international trade, the environment and sustainable development, and the latest developments on the International Criminal Court, along with the challenges in the fight against corruption and the role of the United Nations' conventions to combat it, and the folklore expressions and international protection to them, al-Rasas added.
He noted that he would meet on the sideline of the session with heads of some delegations of the Member States in the organization.Furthermore, al-Rasas pointed out that a memorandum of understanding would be signed with the Secretary General of the AALCO on exempting Yemen from its indebtedness to the organization prior to the unification of Yemen.
