Executive Director of Saada Reconstruction Fund Mohamed Thabit told Saba that the supervising units are working in the field to complete procedures for paying the first installment of compensation.He noted that YR 80 million has been allocated as a first installment of compensation to 100 beneficiaries in the old Saada by 20 per cent, while the rest of houses are under study and estimates.The number of affected houses due to the insurgency war in the old Saada amounted to 779 houses, in addition to 343 houses and 197 farms in Al Oqab area, Thabit pointed out.He said that counting damages in al-Maqash area in al-Safra'a district has been finished, where the number of affected houses reached about 1024 facilities as well as 220 affected farms.
"The counting committees are doing their job with precision and transparency", said Thabit adding that the Fund accepts any complaints by citizens, who believe that the estimated amounts of their homes are not enough, and review and reconsider the matter.
The process of reconstruction in any area is subject to the availability of security and stability, Thabit noted, affirming the Fund's readiness to begin its duties and reconstruction where the proper security conditions are available.
