http://www.english.hadhramaut.info Al-hgaff University President Meets Shaykh al-Azhar and Grand Mufti of Egypt [The Source: MUKALLA/mukalltoday.com/hadhramaut.info - 31/07/2010] Professor Abdullah Mohammed Baharoon arrived at Mukalla International Airport yesterday back from Cairo. He was on  an Educational  visit to Al-Azhar University, during which he discussed various issues and  exchanged ideas about the march of Al-ahgaff  and its educational status. that it occupies between the Yemeni universities. Professor Abdallah Baharoon also  met with Grand Imam  of Al-azahar Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, where the discussed  the cooperation between Al-Azhar University and Al-hagaff  and the strong support Al-azhar render  to Yemen. The meeting also emphasized on the close relationship of the University of Al-hqaff, Al-Azhar Al-Sharif. Meeting was attended by Deputy Yemeni Ambassador in Cairo Mr. Mohamed Ba-heisami and Dr. Omar Kamel, Vice President of the Alumni Association, Al-Azhar and Sheikh Abdullah Ahmad Al-beiti. Profssor  Baharoon During his visit, also met with  the Mufti of Egypt, Prof. Dr. Ali Gomaa, and they discussed about the possibility of cooperation in the field of opinion and research between Daruul-iftaa of Egypt and Al-ahqaff University.  Dr. Gumaa welcomed the Mufti’s welcomed such cooperation emphasizing his full support for the success of this step, the meeting was attended by Dr. Jamal Farouk professor at Al-dawaah College - Al-Azhar University and Mr. Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al-magdi It is worth noting that the relationship between   Al-Azhar University and Al-ahqaff is of long period and Al-ahqaff Certificate is equivalent to the testimony of Al-Azhar in Sharia and Law.
