http://www.english.hadhramaut.info Project of improving quality of higher education in Yemen launched [The Source: SANA'A/ hadhramaut.info/sabanews.net - 14/07/2010]  A project of improving the quality of higher education was launched on Wednesday in Yemen funded by World Bank at sum of $ 13 million. In a ceremony held in this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister for Internal Affairs Sadaq Amin Abu Ras affirmed importance of such project which comes within reforms agenda of the government to develop the education in the country.He said that the reforms agenda includes establishment of higher council for the academic admission and draft law of higher education.He called on the Yemeni universities to shoulder the ethics and scientific responsibility to develop the education in the country, highlighting the project of improving the quality of higher education.The minister of higher education Saleh BaSorah highlighted cooperation of the World Bank to carry out this project, saying that a new bylaw for the ministry would be issued in coming days.For his part, the director of WB office in Yemen said that the project aims at making development in the higher education in order to reinforce performance of the universities.
