In the opening ceremony of the campaign, Deputy Prime Minister for Defense and Security Affairs and Minister of Local Administration Rashad al-Alimi delivered a speech in which he highlighted right of the Palestinian people in legal resistance to get back their lands and set up their own independent state based on the UN resolutions.He pointed out to assistance presented by the Yemeni people for the resistance of the Palestinian people, valuing strong position of President Ali Abdullah Saleh in supporting issue of the Palestinian people.For his part, the head of the popular authority Sheikh Sadaq al-Ahmar called on all Yemenis to support generously the flotilla to bring it into success.He said that the authority is contacting with the relevant bodies over arrangements to start a trip of the Yemeni flotilla,It is scheduled that the Yemeni flotilla would start its journey within one month since the beginning of launching the detonation campaign. In the ceremony, bank accounts for receiving donations for the campaign were announced.
