A training workshop on supporting the legal structure according to ratified international texts of children anti-trafficking was launched here on Saturday.
About 40 judges and lawyers participated in the workshop which was organized by Justice Ministry in cooperation with the UNICEF.Undersecretary of Justice Ministry for Finance and Administrative Affairs Abdul-Rahman al-Shahidi affirmed the importance of the workshop to recognize the international anti-trafficking conceptions.The legislative system in Yemen contributed to issuing laws related to children affairs, he added, pointing out that Yemen is one of the first countries which signed a number of UN agreements.For his part, the UNICEF child protection specialist George Abu al-Zulof talked about the legislations, ratified international agreements and conventions that protect children.He also affirmed the significance of the workshop in shedding light on the challenges facing judges and lawyers work to capture those involved in the child trafficking.
