Vice President Abduh Raboh Mansor Hadi held a
meeting on Saturday with the Chairman of National Democratic Institute (NDI).
In the meeting, they discussed
several issues related to the democracy in Yemen. The vice president pointed
out that the General People Congress party is working toward the coming
parliamentary elections which would be held in April of 2011 based on agreement
of February, 2009.
He indicated to attempt of the
opposition to mix cards to avoid the agreement, affirming commitment of the GPC
with its electoral platform in front of the people.
He valued efforts of the institute
and European Union to help Yemen
in strengthening democracy.
The official of the institute said
that the democracy in Yemen
is steady, adding that the institute is working to bring the democracy into
success.
