The Information Ministry mourned on Tuesday the death of TV presenter Yahya Alaw who died in hospital in Sana'a after a long battle with cancer.
Alaw died aged 48 and prayers for him were held at the Al-Saleh Mosque.Hundreds of people from various governorates flocked to pay respects to the popular presenter. His body will be buried today in his home village of Khadir, Taiz.Alaw studied primary school, Quran and Fiqh in Taiz Province and moved to Hodeida where he completed high school.He then traveled to Saudi Arabia and studied the media at the University of King Abdul Aziz Al Saud.
