The Global Forum for Moderation is to hold in here on May 19 – 20 its seventh conference under the slogan "Islamic Moderation-concept, challenges and roles".

A press release issued by the forum's branch in Yemen said that a number of scholars and prominent Islamic thinkers from different Arab and Islamic countries are to participate in the conference.The chairman of the forum's branch in Yemen Dawoud al-Hadabi said the conference aims to introduce the concept of Islamic moderation and to review the main challenges impeding to spread the moderation concept.The participants will touch on the role of moderation in fighting against extremist ideology and illustrate the mechanism of spreading moderation concept among the Islamic communities.The conference is to discuss several themes including concepts of moderation, the characteristics of moderation in the Islamic thought, the role of women and family in deepening the moderate thought and the challenges facing moderation trend.
