The agreement was signed by Brigadier General Ali Hassan al-Shatir, head of the department, and Alissandra Fanz, the university director general.The deal was mainly aimed at protecting the Yemeni cultural heritage as well as boosting cooperation between experts and employees of the two sides, said al-Shatir.It was also aimed at registering and documenting ancient relics in Yemen preparing digital catalogs and restoring antiques, especially the wooden and bronze ones, he added.Under the agreement, the university will prepare a laboratory and a security system at the war museum in Sana'a as well as holding training courses for the museum staff in restoring, documenting and museum display.
