The Inter - Parliamentary Union the participants concluded that it is necessary to strengthen the role of parliaments as institutions of importance for the promotion of reconciliation and good governance.In relation to organized crime, there was adopted a document aimed at strengthening cooperation between the internal security forces of various countries, by region, to address this evil as well as improve the system of border control.For six days, deputies of the world were focused on discussion of various topics of international current affairs, with emphasis on the role of parliaments in reconciliation and good governance.Special attention was also devoted to cooperation and shared responsibility in the global fight against organized crime, especially drug trafficking, the illegal arms sales and cross-border terrorism.The Role of Parliaments of South-South Cooperation, youth participation in the democratic process and the implementation of children's rights were also discussed at the meeting in Bangkok, ANGOP has reported.
