Implementation of govt's seventh priority on Aden city discussed

A joint meeting was held here on Wednesday to discuss the ways that ensure the government's seventh priority implementation to prepare a unified economic plan for Yemen economic and commercial capital , Aden ,and put it into effect.
The participants, including the technical committee of the ministerial executive office for priorities, local authority leaderships in Aden province, Ministries of Finance, Industry and Trade and Transport, reviewed visions presented by the local authority and ministries of industry and trade and transport aimed to promote the role of Aden city as a free zone and a trade center a t the local and international levels.They affirmed the need to set up an economic plan for the city to enhance its role as a real economic gate of Yemen so as to enable it to play its role in promoting the national economy.The attendees approved to give a chance for the local authority to study the vision presented by the technical committee, providing to hold a joint meeting in Aden province during the upcoming period to come up with a common vision to ensure an applicable scheduled executive resolutions.The discussions focused on the need to avail from the geographical, economic, human and historical features of the city to make it a center for the international trade and a supporting base for the national economy and to diversify the country income resources.They stressed the importance of overcoming the challenges and obstacles so as to combine the efforts to attract more investments to revive the economic activity and achieve the priority goals.The participants noted to inserting city of Aden within the government's priorities for the coming two years for its potentials and its role in serving the national economy, especially its distinct geographical location which requires an attractive investment environment and an effective management.Meanwhile, they affirmed on providing an integral legislative and regulative structure for the city and unifying its designs, pointing to the role of private sector as a major partner in the development process in this priority implementation
