Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training Ibrahim Hijri and the Algerian ambassador Abdul Wahab Bu Zaher held talks on exchanging visits and expertise and increasing the number of the scholarships granted to the Yemeni students in the Algerian institutes.Moreover, the meeting discussed means to avail from the Algerian experiences in technical and vocational education, particularly in girl education.During the meeting, the Algerian ambassador got acquainted with the technical and vocational education system in Yemen and the existing specialities and needed requirements in this regard to reduce unemployment and combating poverty.Minister Hijri reviewed the current arrangements for hosting Algerian experts in 2010 to be familiarized on the education process in the technical and vocational education in different governorates in addition to training the Yemeni trainers and upgrade the mechanisms and programs in the institutes, especially in girl education sector.The Algerian diplomat asserted his country's readiness to widen support aspects of technical and vocational education in Yemen.
