A training course on capacity-building of civil society organizations to promote the principles of democracy and human rights values in the community started Monday in
Sana'a
Development in cooperation with the German Friedrich Ebert Foundation.During the four-day course, about 30 cadres from civil society organizations and charity organizations from different governorates will receive skills and information on women issues, women empowerment, human rights and active citizenship.The training program also includes preparing for a number of projects to be set up by the participating organizations.Speaking to Saba, coordinator of the course Jamal al-Maliki said that course aims at increasing awareness of the targeted organizations and improving its cadres in the field of human rights and democracy, in addition to building a partnership between the civil society organizations in order to spread values of the active citizenship and contribute to consolidating security and social peace.
