http://www.english.hadhramaut.info Deputy FM talks to UNHCR, OHCHR officials [The Source: www.sabanews.net - 08/12/2009] Deputy Foreign Minister Mohi-al-Deen al-Dhabi met on Tuesday with the Higher Commissioner for Refugees António Guterres and deliberated with him refugees situations in Yemen. Al-Dhabi praised role of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees in sheltering the displaced people due to the rebellion in Saada governorate, calling for more support and the continuation and cooperation between Yemen and the UNHCR. Guterres, for his part, valued Yemen for receiving and sheltering the African Horn refugees though the great load put on the Yemeni economy and society. He expressed willingness of the UNHCR to work hard to present the required aid and support in this respect.Al-Dhabi also met with deputy High Commissioner for Human Rights Kyung-wha Kang and discussed with her the remarkable steps taken by Yemen in the field of respecting human rights and reinforcing democracy and woman status in the society.
