In a press conference in Sana'a, Misha'al praised the stances of Yemen which always support the Palestinian issue.

"I have briefed President Saleh on the latest developments in the Palestinian area under the Israeli aggression and the anti-Palestine policies of Netanyahu government in deepening settlement and blocking equalization horizons due to the Israeli obstinacy and weakness of the American stance and the international position as a whole," he said.

He made clear readiness for a Palestinian conciliation in order to unify the Palestinian line to face the Israeli aggression and occupation.

As for Shalit, Misha'al commented that this issue is still under negotiation and there are some difficulties because of the Israeli obstinacy and Hamas is committed to its demands to set free its hostages and the leaders. In response to a question if he carries a letter from Tehran to the Yemeni political leadership, he said "we are doing no mediation and are not assigned to do so, and what is happening in Yemen is a local affair Yemen will solve it to preserve its interest and unity."He renewed the stance of Hamas movement and its concern on the unity, security and stability of Yemen.
