http://www.english.hadhramaut.info House of Representatives Chairman inspects Al-ahgaf Manuscript Libray in Tarim [The Source: seiyoun /hadhramaut.info - 29/11/2009]  House Speaker Yahya Ali Al-raai, along with the Provincial Governor Ahmed Salem Al-khanbashi, the  Provincial Undersecretary Mr. Ahmed Al-junaeid, the Provincial Undersecretary for the Wadi and Sahraa  Affairs Omaier Mbarak Omaeir  and other officials today inspected the progress of work under way to restore the Al-rannad  Historical Palace in Tarim City. .The renovation  will cost 230 million riyals   funded by the government.While they were on   their tour of Tarim they also also visited   the  Al-ahgaf Curved Manuscript library , where  they were given full explanation  on the library contents  contents of manuscript books and  scientific references  of great value, that  total up to  more than six thousand manuscripts, the oldest manuscript  dated back to the fifth century AH, . Also they were briefed  to  as well as  on the services the  library  provide to researchers and those concerned with cultural, scientific institutions, Universities, governmental organizations and civil and foreign, as well as its role in the definition of the cultural heritage of Yemen and Yemen's contribution to human .
