http://www.english.hadhramaut.info Yemen partakes in Moscow road safety conference [The Source: www.sabanews.net - 24/11/2009] Yemen has participated in the international conference organized by Russia, WB and WHO on "road safety and the prevention of accidents" held on the Russian capital Moscow. Yemen ambassador in Russia Mohammed al-Hilali who represented Yemen in the conference showed a briefed image about the achievements in the road field such as bridges, tunnels and highways which connect the country's governorates. He also pointed to the exerted efforts of the Interior, Health and Transportation Ministries towards arranging and developing the highways and tackling the traffic obstacles.The conference affirmed that the countries and organizations should pay more attention and prepare executive plans at all levels to encounter the traffic accidents, which claim millions of lives annually.On the sidelines of the conference, al-Hilali met the Saudi, UEA, Omani, Algerian and Sudanese representatives in the conference.He discussed with each of them several issues of common concerns and mean of enhancing mutual cooperation relations.
