http://www.english.hadhramaut.info Hadramout Governor hails WFP aid for heavy rain affected people [The Source: www.sabanews.net - 21/11/2009]  Hadramout Governor Salem al-Khanbashi hailed on Saturday the support of United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) to Yemen to face the circumstances of the heavy-rain disaster hit Hadramout and Mahrah provinces in October 2008. During his meeting with the WFP Representative in Yemen Adham Musallam, the governor voiced his appreciation for the food assistance provided by the WFP for the affected people in the governorate.In return, the WFP official expressed his appreciation for the facilities provided by the local authority in Hadramout that enabled the WFP to implement its project to provide food aid for about 6,000 families from different districts at Hadramout governorate.The governor also affirmed the importance of continuing the activities of the WFP's food assistance project for these people.
