http://www.english.hadhramaut.info Al-Baladah Festival activities kick off [The Source: Hadhramaut.info - 21/07/2007] Under the patronage of Mr.Taha Haja, governor of Hadramout, the activities of the fourth Al-Baldah Festival were opened on Thursday. The first activity of the festival was mass washing in the cold water of the Arabian Sea. From the early hours of the day, hundreds of families flooded the coast. In the afternoon and in Al-Kour Theater, an operetta, embodying different colours of the Arabian Peninsula countries heritage, was performed in the presence of   governrate’s senior officiala and a huge number of people. The festival, which will continue until 10 Aug, includes many leisure-oriented activities and commercial markets aimed to revive the commercial activities and promoting the city.
