http://www.english.hadhramaut.info Two UAE relief airplanes arrive in Yemen [The Source: www.sabanews.net - 08/11/2009] Two UAE relief airplanes arrived on Sunday carrying food aid, an electric generator and about 1000 tents provided by the UAE Red Crescent Authority (RCA). Speaking to Saba, the RCA vice chairman Saleh al-Jabri said that the RCA had sent 74 tons of food and medical relief aid for displaced people at al- Marzouq camp in Hajjah province, north Yemen. The RCA official also made it clear that there is a UAE aid convoy will arrive in Yemen soon carrying the displaced people camps' necessary supplies, praising the cooperation of the UAE embassy in the Yemeni capital Sana'a.For his part, Undersecretary of Hodeidah governorate al-Hassan Tahir considered this UAE relief aid as a reflection of the deep-rooted brotherly cooperation ties between the two countries.The UAE has sent previously last week two airplanes carrying 70 tons of relief aid to the Saada war-affected people.It is worth to mention that the RCA has showed previously its intention to set up a camp for housing 1000 displaced people in Yemen.
