http://www.english.hadhramaut.info Save the Children arranges training on child rights [The Source: www.sabanews.net - : 01/11/2009] Save the Children arranged on Sunday in Sana'a a training course on child rights with participation of 35 of local education and health providers in al-Safia and al-Sabean districts. The training course aims to raise the participants' awareness in the importance of advocating for child rights, particularly in Education and Health areas.
It also emphasizes the important roles of the education and health providers in promoting Child Rights Convention (CRC) among children with a focus on children refugees and their communities and how to implement them in their daily activities.The participants will end up their training course with plans in how
to implement the CRC in their communities as a part of their role in advocacy for CRC that Yemen ratified on 1989.Abdullah al-Khamisy, CRC Program Officer ensures the importance of the training in developing the participants' skills in how to deal with children in schools and health centres and the community in general.Save the Children works towards the protection, fulfilment and respect for all young people to the right to participate in decisions that affect
their lives.
