An official military source in the north-western area in Yemen said the military and security units launched a large-scale offensive on the terrorist positions towards the area of Al-Jartahia , Sabkhana and Dhahr Al-Himar and were still advancing towards many of the positions and hideouts where the those elements are stationed to defeat them out of them. The armed forces in that operation seized quantities of weapons the terrorist elements left behind. The source added that many if those elements were killed or wounded and three vehicles of those elements were which were carrying weapons and supplies to the rebels were captured in Thueib and Haydan areas. The armed and security forces , in cooperation with people from Waela tribes , controlled the area of Shaab Dhabeen , completing their control and stationed in the areas around the road of Al-Baqa-Kitaf-Saada which is opened to the citizens after clearing it from landmines and explosives , In Sufyan axis, the source said military units attacked the Black heights to the east of Al-Markham where many of the terrorist elements were killed and more than 20 of them were wounded while others fled the area. The armed forces on the other hand foiled an infiltration attempt by terrorist elements into the areas nearby Al-Baraka Height and inflicted heavy losses on them in lives and force them to flee. Specialized military units defused explosives, gas cylinders and a small tank planted by the terrorist elements in order to explode one of the passages on the road of Saada-Ayn. A number of terrorist and sabotage elements were killed or wounded in an abortive infiltration attempt in an area to the west of Al Amar souk.
