http://www.english.hadhramaut.info Presidential directives to convert the Baldah tourism festivals in Mukalla from local one to a regional event [The Source: Mukalla / site Hadhramout Governorate / Salah Mubarak - 11/08/2007] Brother/ Taha Abdullah  Hajer-governor of Hadhramaut governorate  announced that  the directives of His Excellency President Ali Abdullah Saleh, President of the Republic-on the conversion of the  coming Baldah Festival to be a regional one, so that we can  have a multicultural activities, also we  benefit from the  available resources to  promote  our culture, tourism and to highlight our  technical arts , folklore activities concerning the sea, and especially the therapeutic tourism.  Brother Hajer the governor of Hadhramout in his speech made at the closing ceremony of the festival that was held   yesterday on both banks of the Khor Al-Mukalla tourist sight. In his speech he asserted his deep appreciation for the efforts made by the Department of the Baldah Festival and the Gulf star company for festivals and exhibitions.  The company has done all its best to highlight the various activities and events that witnessed by the festival and to make it a success.  The turnout was high and the local public attendance was great, and   the enthusiasm of our expatriates in the neighboring countries also contributed a lot. He also thanked businessmen, trading companies, factories and institutions who contributed to the production, support which contributed the festival success.  Brother / Anwar Mohammed Aziz-Director of the Baldah Festival gave his speech at the beginning of the ceremony in which he reviewed the various activities and events witnessed by the festival in the cultural, artistic, sports, entertainment and the participation of many theater groups, and folklore. In addition the celebration was also attended by our professional  singer Dr. / Abdul-rab Idris in addition to the singer - Abu Bakr Al-Tuwaii , Awad Ahmed, Fadhl Kurdy and others. Emphasizing that the festival has contributed significantly to the highlight of our arts and popular culture and create mobility rally renowned contribution to the revitalization of tourism in the province. Both banks of the Khor Al-Mukalla tourist sight yesterday afternoon witnessed the technical presentations made by the eight folk dance groups  that showed various popular varieties of plays . Also the Bel-fageeh Cultural Center last night witnessed several   numbers of substantive paragraphs of Choral Arts by the religious group the Massarra group of Tarim City The Fourth Baldah Tourist Festival was on for the last 21 days and witnessed a number of events and various activities which attracted tens of thousands of citizens from all over the nation and expatriates from the neighboring countries
