In an interview with the Saba-run al-Syasiah daily on Wednesday, al-Anisi said that the NSAA would create means of coordinating efforts with those government and non-government bodies to combat corruption.

"Yemen's anti-corruption law gave the NSAA more power than similar authorities in some countries", said al-Anisi.

Al-Anisi affirmed that the NSAA would face more challenges in fighting against corruption, describing corruption as "a big rock" that needs all efforts of civil society organizations, security and judiciary.

"Yemen receives foreign aids to development projects but corruption obstructs development efforts", said al-Anisi.
