During the visit, President Ali Abdullah Saleh awarded Brahimi the first class medal of unification in recognition of his distinct role in supporting Yemen and its unity and republic as well as in propping up development in Yemen.Brahimi also held talks with President Ali Abdullah Saleh over the lasts developments in regional and international arenas.Speaking to Saba, Brahimi expressed his pleasure of meeting President Ali Abdullah Saleh, adding "I'm very happy of having the award and I'm very proud of it".Finally Brahimi wished more prosperity and peace for Yemen.
