http://www.english.hadhramaut.info Crude oil sales for next October approved [The Source: sabanews.net - 10/08/2009] Higher Committee of Crude Oil Marketing chaired by Minster of Oil and Minerals Amir al-Aydarus approved here on Monday sales of crude oil for next October 2009 at total quantity of 5 million barrels.
The committee endorsed selling 2.7 million barrels of Masilah crude oil according to the best bid presented by the competing companies, which is limited at the price of Brent added to $0.18 per barrel at quantity of 1.8 million barrels, provided that the left quantity of 900,000 barrels would be sold at the same price mentioned above.Regarding Marib oil, the committee approved selling a quantity of 1.7 million barrels and further 600,000 barrels according to the best competitive offers which are specified at the price of Brent at decrease of $.48 per barrel.The committee had got acquainted with the report of the technical committee on the aspects related to carrying out the crude oil sells of July, August and September 2009.The report also included the problems related to the storage capacity for the next three months which resulted from the regular maintenance for the storing facilities, as the committee directed preparing a complete report in this respect.
