http://www.english.hadhramaut.info Recompense for Hadramout rain-affected people reaches YR 226 mln [The Source: www.sabanews.net - 11/07/2009] Reconstruction Fund of Hadramout and Mahrah provinces reported on Saturday that the partial total compensations paid out to the rain-affected people in the two governorates amounted to YR 226,283,783 till June 25th.The executive director of the Fund Abdullah Mouta'afi said the compensations were handed over to the affected people in districts of Tarim, Sah, al-Soum, Hourah - Wadi al-Ain, al-Qatn and Mukalla.Recompense of YR 146, 630,000 for the affected farmers in Wadi Hadramout will be paid out in the current July in payments.Meanwhile, the executive management of the Fund discussed in its meeting held on Saturday issues relating to reconstruction works and the implemented steps in this regard.The meeting chaired by deputy Governor of Hadramout for Technical Affairs Fahd al-Menhali dealt with a number of financial topics of the executive fund's activity during the coming period.Hadramout was hit by heavy rains which lashed the Hadramout and Mahrah provinces on October 2008.
