Presidential Leadership Council Member and Governor of Hadramaut, Mr. Salem Ahmed Al-Khanbashi, met in Mukalla with the directors of the coastal districts of Hadramawt. The meeting focused on assessing the situation in the districts, the level of services provided to citizens, and discussing the most prominent problems and difficulties facing the basic services and infrastructure sectors.

At the outset of the meeting, the Presidential Leadership Council Member and Governor of Hadramawt emphasized the importance of concerted efforts between the leadership of local authorities in the governorate and the districts. He explained that this cooperation would contribute to improving service performance and raising the level of services provided to citizens. He stressed the need to redouble efforts to address the existing challenges in the electricity, water, sanitation, roads, hygiene, health, education, and other vital sectors that directly affect citizens' lives.

The Governor listened to the interventions of the district directors, who reviewed a number of issues related to the needs of their districts, the challenges facing the progress of many service and development projects, and the difficulties hindering the improvement of infrastructure and basic services. The Presidential Leadership Council member and Governor of Hadramawt directed district directors to submit detailed reports outlining the most prominent problems and challenges in their respective districts, along with proposed solutions and practical approaches. He also tasked them with developing a comprehensive vision for addressing issues common to all districts, with the aim of finding practical and sustainable solutions.

Furthermore, he emphasized the need to prepare a comprehensive matrix of priority projects across various service and development sectors. This matrix will be compiled and analyzed in a specialized working paper to be discussed at an upcoming workshop. The workshop will focus on identifying the actual needs of the districts and prioritizing projects according to development requirements and the necessity of improving services.

Governor Al-Khanbashi affirmed the local authorities' commitment to continuously monitoring the situation in the districts and coordinating with relevant government agencies, partners, and donors to secure the necessary support for implementing service and development projects. This will contribute to meeting citizens' needs and enhancing developmental stability in the coastal areas of Hadramaut.
