Hadhramaut Bank opened its new branch in Ataq, Shabwa Governorate, on Sunday morning, November 2, 2025. This opening is part of the bank's expansion plan to enhance its banking services and broaden its reach across various governorates. The inauguration was attended by local leaders and prominent figures from the community.

The CEO of Hadhramaut Bank, Mr. Abdulnasser Noman Al-Haj, cut the ribbon to officially open the branch and commence services to the public. In a press statement, Mr. Al-Haj emphasized that the opening of the Ataq branch reflects the bank's commitment to supporting the national economy and providing advanced banking services that meet the needs of citizens and the business sector in Shabwa Governorate.

 He added that the bank is continuing to implement its expansion plan and develop its banking services in accordance with the highest professional and technical standards, contributing to increased economic activity and improved quality of financial services in the region. 

Professor Abdrabbo Hashla, Secretary-General of the Local Council of Shabwa Governorate, praised this step, considering the opening of the branch an important addition to the governorate, and said: “The opening of the Hadramout Bank branch in Ataq represents a positive step that will contribute to enhancing banking services for citizens and businessmen, and supporting the economic movement in Shabwa Governorate.” The opening ceremony was attended by: • Mr. Abdrabbo Hashla – Secretary General of the Local Council of Shabwa Governorate • Mr. Fahd Al-Tawsali – Deputy Governor of Shabwa Governorate • Mr. Abdulbasit Baqader – Director of the Central Bank in Shabwa Governorate • Mr. Mohammed Atiq – Director General of the Finance Office in Shabwa Governorate • Mr. Ahmed Al-Shami – Director of the Oil Company in Shabwa Governorate • Mr. Lahmar Ali Lasoud – Head of the Transitional Council in Shabwa Governorate • Mr. Fahd Al-Kuwaili – Director of the Industry and Trade Office in Shabwa Governorate • Mr. Hussein Al-Rifai – Director of the Media Office in Shabwa Governorate. Following the opening, the attendees toured the departments of the new branch and reviewed the technical equipment and banking services it will provide, praising the Hadramout Bank initiative, which will enhance banking operations and support economic and investment development in Shabwa Governorate.
