Hadhramaut Governor, Mr. Mabkhoot Mubarak bin Madi, discussed today via video conference with the new US civilian team, ways to enhance development and stability efforts in the governorate.
He also bid farewell to the previous team and expressed gratitude for its support in supporting services, security, and development efforts.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the work of the previous US civilian team, which provided valuable support and assistance in several vital areas, most notably the education and health sectors.
This support included important initiatives such as the provision of ambulances, which will soon arrive in the governorate, contributing to the improvement of basic services provided to citizens.
In the context of strengthening the governorate's urgent needs, the areas of need in vital sectors were discussed. Governor bin Madi presented to the new US team the need to provide four large, well-equipped fire engines—two for the valley districts and two for the coastal districts—with the aim of strengthening civil defense and emergency response capabilities in Hadhramaut. The Hadramaut Governor praised the United States' continued support for legitimacy and peace in Yemen, as well as its interventions in security and counterterrorism, which contribute to Hadramaut's stability and the development of its own capabilities in various sectors.
