The Governor of Hadhramaut, Mr. Mabkhout Mubarak bin Madi, yesterday, Tuesday, in the city of Buwaysh, Mukalla Directorate, laid the foundation stone for the buildings of the University of Science and Technology, Hadhramaut branch.


The university buildings will be built in Mukalla on a total area of ​​1,130 square metres. The first phase includes the construction of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences building, which will be upgraded to accommodate 1,200 male and female students, with a total cost for the building and equipment amounting to one and a half million dollars.

The governor, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the local council in the governorate, Saleh Abboud Al-Omqi, the assistant president of the university for student and branch affairs, Dr. Munir Al-Abadi, and the director of the university branch in Mukalla, Dr. Alawi Saqqaf Al-Aidaroos, listened to the components of the project designs that were refuted by the university’s advisor, Engineer Muhammad Ahmed Al-Amoudi, explaining that the stage The first, for the College of Medicine, consists of four floors that include study halls, multi-purpose halls, medical laboratories, offices for faculty members, clinics, a drawing studio for the architecture program, and a health clinic to provide




The university's integrated project includes the establishment of three colleges along with the university campus at a total cost of five and a half million dollars. Today, the governor inaugurated the dental laboratory at the University of Science and Technology in Mukalla, which contains 25 chairs and a sterilization laboratory with x-rays, at a cost of 200 thousand dollars.

The governor praised the future vision of the university’s leadership and the level of education there, stressing that Hadhramaut is an environment prepared and attractive for education thanks to its state of stability, wishing the university’s edifice progress and development in the service of graduate studies and scientific research.
