http://www.english.hadhramaut.info Carter, al-Eryany lead international delegation observing Lebanese elections [The Source: /www.almotamar.net - 03/06/2009] Ex-US President Jimmy Carter and Dr Abdulkarim al-Eryany, the Political Advisor of Yemen President of the republic are to chair an international delegation taking part in observation of the Lebanese parliamentary election scheduled on 7 June 2009. Carter Centre has announced that the former US President Carter and Dr al-Eryany would lead the international delegation of the Centre to observe the Lebanese parliamentary elections.  A statement issued by the Center indicated that Carter Centre’s team is composed of more than 50 observers representing more than 20 countries to be present in various Lebanese territories to observe the voting and vote counting processes.  The statement also mentioned that Carter and al-Eryany would hold meetings with Lebanese authorities and leaders of the political parties in addition to representatives of local and international election observation delegations. The two men would also observe the voting process next Monday in addition to the process of vote-counting.  Carter Centre team would remain in Lebanon to the end of next July to watch atmospheres of post-elections and the team would also evaluate the electoral process in Lebanon
