The contract was signed by the YFA's member Salim Azzan and Coach Juricic who has previously been coach of the two Bahraini and Omani soccer teams. Following the signing celebration, Coach Juricic said in a news conference that he would present his experience to improve and boost the activities of the Yemeni soccer team. "After my experience gained in many countries in the region, I think that I could help the Yemeni team achieve good results in the future", said Juricic. He pointed out that he would work directly next week with his assistants, including Yemeni coach Amin al-Sanini and two coaches of Croatia, to select members of a new soccer team. Under the contract, the Croatian coach would receive a monthly salary cap of 22000 Euro. YFA hopes the Coach to create a strong Yemeni team that can compete in the 20 Gulf Cup to be hosted by Yemen in November 2010.
