http://www.english.hadhramaut.info College Students visits Seiyoun deaf school, the Palace Museum [The Source: Seyoun/hadhramaut.info - 13/05/2009] Students of Seiyoun Branch Hadhramaut Ubniversity of Science and Technology , Faculty of Mathematics and  Education Science and Technology today paid a visit  to the Deaf and Mute school   Wadi Hadramout  and Seyoun Historical Palace  Museum. The students were briefed on the activities carried out by the organization  from officials of the institutions about   the care and rehabilitation of the deaf and dumb in the Wadi Hadramaut ,  there efforts that  culminated in the opening of  the school for  basic education specially for  the deaf and dumb, currently  has approximately 50  students between boys and girls  in grades one  to three. They study   basic materials such as Arabic language, mathematics and Islamic education using sign language in addition to the methods of pronouncing letters to those visually impaired hearing from the students of this school. The school was founded in January 2007 and it has trained members of staff of a number of teachers, part-time teachers and volunteers. The visiting students from the College of Education in expressing their sentiments of humanity towards these social strata donated some symbolic gifts to the school of deaf and dumb in supporting the good work being done also motivate and encourage those numbers to continue their studies to acquire scientific knowledge’s well as n rely on themselves in the conducting the affairs of their lives in future In retune the deaf students had a glimpse of joy on their face and appreciated the visit that contributed in breaking the psychological barriers, they the extent of their effectiveness in the community and access to the path of reintegration with the rest of society.  The   students late visited the   Palace Museum of Seiyoun to observe and see for themselves the customs and traditions as well as the archaeological collections which tells of human life in this region during the period of history.
