[The Source: SABA News Online \ Saleh Ahmed - Tuesday 03 / Oct. / 2017]
Minister of Information Muammar al-Eryani has said that the silence of
the international organizations, media and human rights orgs, for the
Saleh-Houthi coup militias' atrocities against journalists in jails and
at large raises a big question mark.
"This disgraceful position raises a big question mark, and is considered an encouragement signal for the militias to carry on with their oppressive practices against the media institutions and media personnel," he said in a statement to Saba.
He said: "At a time when the Houthi militias continue to detain 17 abducted journalists and refers 10 others to the Terrorism Court, and deny them food and visits, the international organizations and news agencies stand silent.
Such organizations would launch a frontal assault on other countries and movements for only suspending a newspaper or withdrawing the work permit of one journalist."
"What more repressive actions do the international organizations and media outlets want to see to take a moral attitude toward them?" he inquired.
He said that the radical militias has rendered the capital, Sana'a, free from journalism and journalists.
He said that, "the militias have closed all oppositionist media institutions and subjected opinion writers to all forms of torture in jails and now barring the entry of food and visitors to them."
