http://www.english.hadhramaut.info KSRelief treats 740,000 cholera-infected Yemenisț [The Source: ALYAMAN ALARABY Online \ Saleh Ahmed - Thursday 12 / Oct. / 2017]           The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) spokesman Dr. Samer Al-Jelati announced that the center has successfully treated 740,000 out of the 750,000 cholera-infected Yemenis, according to Kuwait News Agency( KUNA).           The patients have recovered and the remaining 10,000 are receiving treatment now, Al-Jelati told reporters in a press conference held in Riyadh Monday about the center's activities in Yemen.           Moreover the Kingdom has donated USD 66.7 million to the World Health Organization and the UN children agency (UNICEF) to fight cholera in Yemen, he clarified.           He added that the KSRelief is offering healthcare services to all Yemenis on both sides of the conflict.           These efforts have drawn 30 acclamations from international organizations, he said.           He, however, noted that the center and its mission in Yemen are facing enormous challenges due to the irresponsible behavior pro-coup militias.           These militias have plundered aid of 65 ships, 124 relief convoys, 628 trucks during the period 2015-17, he pointed out, adding that militiamen have repeatedly carried out attacks on humanitarian workers.           The depilated infrastructure and health sector in Yemen are also complicating the humanitarian action there, he said.           He lauded the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's quick response to the UN appeals in 2017 with a pledge of USD 221.9 million to meet the humanitarian needs of the war-stricken Yemeni people.           The Kingdom has offered USD 8.27 billion-worth of humanitarian aid to Yemen since 2015, he said.           The KSRelief also dispatched 550 tons of aid people in 12 governorates, 70 percent of which controlled by the militias.           Meanwhile, Al-Jelati lauded the pro-legitimacy coalition's role in streamlining work of humanitarian and relief agencies in Yemen through issuing 14,444 air, sea and land passage permissions, he unveiled.           He also noted that the coalition has announced nearly 40,000 safe areas for civilians, he said.           He urged the United Nations and the international community to shoulder its responsibility towards the irresponsible practices of pro-coup militias against humanitarian and relief workers.           He also called on the international humanitarian organizations not to concentrate its offices in the militias-controlled areas to ensure impartiality.
