http://www.english.hadhramaut.info Books and Software exhibition concluded in Mukalla [The Source: Al-mukalla/hadhramaut.info - 01/05/2009] The books and software exhibition was concluded today  evening in the city of Mukalla.  The fair was organized by the General Authority of the book that started on the 15th April and finished on May 1 with the participation of local lArab publishing houses.   Salim Ahmed Al-Khanbshi  Hadhramut province governor,   praised the role played  by   of the General Authority for organizing this book in the effectiveness of cultural, scientific, and which provided an opportunity for interested students and community members to acquire  books,  have access to new publications,   reference books in various fields of science and culture.  Emphasizing on the importance such exhibitions on regular basis that contribute to the dissemination of knowledge and highlights the importance of the book in public life. He called the cultural and scientific institutions to make the best use of these cultural and scientific events   to build relations as well as to create a permanent   cooperation with the publishing houses and those distributors of books and references that serve the interest of scientific researchers, and help students, community members to have access to knowledge and further their various science and culture knowledge. For his part, the Director-General of the General Authority in Hadhramaut   Mr.  Abdul Hakim Saleh Bin Gedeim said that the fair witnessed remarkable number of visitors from public students of universities and schools, that supports the fair should be and annual event, pointing out that the choice of  Children library building and its garden  in Mukalla city  as a location contributed directly to the success of the exhibition and increased sales.  It said that  some 40 publishing  houses local and Arab participated in the exhibition, in which  it  offered  about 50  different  titles  in  various aspects of knowledge , human sciences, culture, software, books on  children's versions and family, also  was also a number of literary and cultural events in coordination and cooperation with the branch of the Federation of Yemeni intellectuals and writers of Mukalla
